Kaki Sushi, located at 10428 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92124, is a beloved local gem offering a warm, cozy atmosphere with updated decor. The menu at Kaki Sushi is filled with delightful options that satisfy a variety of tastes. One standout dish is the Teriyaki Salmon Bento Box, which includes perfectly cooked salmon, rice, soup, salad, and a California roll. For those looking to add a little extra spice, the California roll can be upgraded to a spicy tuna roll for a modest surcharge. The panko shrimp and fish are crispy and hot, adding a satisfying crunch to the meal. The lemon roll and eel roll are also highly recommended, with the fresh salmon in the lemon roll particularly standing out. While some may find the artificial crab a bit overpowering, the portion sizes and the overall flavor more than make up for it.

The attention to detail in both food preparation and customer service elevates the overall experience. Many patrons appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the fact that the portions are generous for the price, making it a fantastic value.

Kaki Sushi Reviews
Always love coming here. Kim, the owner, if wonderful, she is dedicated, hard worker and consistently kind to our daughters who come here. Highly recommend this small business!
Kaki Sushi is a true mom and pop sushi spot with updated decor yet still cozy. I tried the teriyaki salmon bento box that came with rice, soup, salad, California roll (which I asked to be upgraded for spicy tuna for a surcharge), panko shrimp and fish. Everything was delicious from the delicate salmon that tasted charbroiled as well as the veggies under it; panko shrimp and fish both were perfectly crispy and hot; the extra $2 surcharge for the spicy tuna was absolutely worth it with how huge the rolls were!! I appreciated the nice addition of pickled cabbage on the side. We also ordered the lemon roll for $13.50 and eel roll for $7. Both were very good and huge! The salmon on the lemon roll tasted fresh although my only complaint was how there was too much artificial crab but that's a good problem for most. Service was amazing where she addressed all my little accomodations like teriyaki sauce on the side and the extra charge for tuna roll vs Cali roll. Overall, while it's not the best sushi, it's 5 stars because it's more of a comfort Japanese shop and I left satisfied esp with the portions to cost!
Love this place, best sushi in Tierrasanta! PROS: Decor is very nice. They always have pleasant, applicable music. There's a TV that has the main sporting events on. Nice drink selection. Plenty of indoor seating. It's always organized and clean in here. To- Go orders are always ready in 10 minutes or so. Some of our favorites: udon noodle bowl, spicy crispy roll, lemon roll, crunchy roll, and chicken teriyaki bowl. Also, the waitress and chef are always quick, polite, and attentive. CONS: None
The review is for the service and value if the food. For tierrsanta you only have a couple sushi options. Although I enjoy both, kaki packs value in their sushi. Great prices, good amounts of fish, and friendly staff that keep you coming back. All their basic rolls are amazing and good to grab to go for quick dinners/lunch etc. The ambiance is a normal little sit down. Straight to the point. Phone order ahead of time if you're scooping up to go! My favorite basic rolls are the tuna roll and Philadelphia roll! Their special rolls are also off the chain! Try them all.
Food is delicious, service is always timely and polite, and the restaurant itself is relaxed and well-decorated. I love the lemon roll with salmon.
